The Nitty Gritty Bike Band and Clarke Central Middle School's cycling group organize group rides in the general Athens area for all levels of cyclists. There is no formal organization to the group; we have no officers, no dues etc., just a diverse group of people who like to ride. Post-Savannah Ride Celebration: Sat. May 10

Just a reminder to come and join the Clarke Middle School riders for our post-Savannah Bike Ride celebration at Allen’s on Hawthorne Avenue, this Saturday evening, May 10th, starting at 5:30 p.m.

In addition to celebrating another great Savannah year, during the evening, we will be presenting a $1,000 check from our bike ride proceeds to the Foundation for Excellence in honor of Eve Carson. It is our privilege to be able to do this for Eve, her family, and the Foundation.

During the evening, we will also enjoy the musical talents of CMS students and other performers, watch a Savannah ride slide show, and draw a winning name – anyone who donated at least $25 to CMS as part of our fundraiser is eligible – for a free one-year membership to the BodyPlex gym in Beechwood.
